Paradise

The picture above is from a publication distributed by Jehovah's Witnesses. The "brochure" entitled "What Does God Require Of Us", has this rendition of paradise. Of course, in their view, all of the people in the picture are Jehovah's Witnesses. If you know nothing about Jehovah's Witnesses or the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of NY, you probably would come across this picture and think "that's nice". Let's analyze this a bit more carefully.

Right off the bat, you can't miss the lion sitting there and he has a beach ball. Lions with beach balls in paradise? Also, umbrellas. Apparently, in paradise, you can still get a sunburn. It isn't raining and it looks pretty sunny in paradise. Everybody in the picture is smiling. No kids are crying about the lion that isn't sharing the beach ball. Also very noticeable are the various ethnic attire each person is wearing. Not your usual door to door type of garb. You wouldn't see anything like this in a kingdom hall. This scenario is put before us in contrast of the current scenario of a Jehovah's Witness existence. They look forward to it. You cannot blame them. They are instructed to be "no part of the world", which means, a very limited wardrobe. You won't see a Witness with a mohawk or long beards. In paradise, maybe they won't have to shave anymore.......but I bet they will still go to alot of meetings.

Ok, OK.........you might wonder......"why is this guy mentioning Jehovah's Witnesses so often in his blog?"............here goes........As it happens, I am very familiar with the teachings and practices of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Don't get me wrong here, it was not because of any interest on my part. As it was......I have three sisters and two of them were sucked into the destructive cult group. As it is now.........neither of them are Jehovah's Witnesses any longer. One sister was in it for 30 years. I cannot begin to tell you how much damage this cult inflicts upon its followers. Sure, those who are currently in it would disagree with me. If you asked all of those who are now free from Watchtower bondage, there is no doubt that they all pretty much agree. I could go into details here, but I won't. But I can tell you that entire families are affected. I intend on pointing some things out here occasionally. I will share some stories. It will be easy for some to say "you do not know about us" and that's okay, I understand why you would say that. Once you are out of bondage, you will be able to think before saying such.

The best way to come to any conclusion about any so-called "religious group" is to become informed about them by reading their writings and speaking to them face to face. I can safely say, that it cannot be denied that the Witnesses fully know that every thing they do, why they do it, and how they do it, and when they do it....is all fully documented. Ultimately, the source of information about Jehovah's Witnesses or the Watchtower, comes directly from them. If I ask a Witness a question, and they give me an answer, oddly enough some other alleged Witness will try to say it's a lie or that the person that answered might not be in good standing. Nonsense.

So this is a tip-off here. I intend on sharing some information. Some ain't gonna like it and some won't understand why I would bother. Even the Watchtower Society, itself wrote.."any organization that claims to be the Truth, should be able to withstand any and all scrutiny". Most people have no clue about the lives of Jehovah's Witnesses. Most only know them from the knock-knock routine. "Nice people"...........yeah.......nice people. My view on this is.....since they have the audacity to spread propaganda to everyone, and insult all of Christianity in the process.....I figure somebody has to show the hypocracy and lies.

If you are currently a Jehovah's Witness, you have my sympathy. If you are a former Jehovah's Witness, welcome back to reality. Paradise isn't so perfect after all.

  4. For some reason, you seem to be reading the blog. As to how many people actually read this stuff, I could care less. I never started this to gain droves of readers. If I was concerned as to how many actually read it, I would have a counter on the blog. It is typical for a Jehovah's Witness to rattle off speculation, as you have done regarding who is or who isn't reading. Speculation is never the truth. Furthermore, you display a rather typical form of Jehovah's Witness logic. Surely you know full well of the thousands and thousands of blogs and other assorted webpages that recieve huge amounts of hits even though the content is not necessarily "positive". Having said that, if you wanted to ask a question of me about the blog, feel free to do so, rather than offer a speculation-based example of bogosity. Furthermore, since I detect a bit of curiosity, popularity is no indication of quality. What good would a million hits be if 90% of those hits were simply fly-bys or from morons? Ok, it was obvious that you are JW and it is obvious that you hang out on the internet. Imagine this.......I call a Kingdom Hall and ask them if I would find a Witness hanging out on the internet....and guess what the answer is EVERY time? They always say, "it's either a former witness or one that is not in good standing". Go figure, eh?

Bible teachings/worship should be supported by not only the Bible but historical proofs - even archeological finds. So specualtion is out of the equation when you can prove something from a variety of independednt sources....

It does not surprise me that you get those answers when calling the Kingdom Hall; it's kind of DUMB when one cannot speak for everyone's actions at any given time. All that can or should be said is that "on the whole" JW's adhere to.... and this is far as biblical standards! It is not a blasphemous sin to comment and be on the Internet. So you see we are individual "thinkers" and not a Cult, not as some feel brainwashed unmercifully.

However if your sisters had bad experiences that is unfortunate BUT you cannot judge the whole religion on a few bad apples - or experiences.

  6. Ahhhh "independent sources".....I like that one. Your suggestion as to what the JWs should say when answering questions on the phones at the Kingdom Halls, is all nice and well, however they still answer the way they answered. It won't be me to tell them how to answer. "and this is as far as biblical standards".......you seem to leave out that the Watchtower's "standards" are their own interpretation. That's okay for them to have their own if they wish to. I certainly said nothing regarding a "blasphemous sin" for commenting or even being on the internet. I wonder why you had that on your mind. As to being "individual thinkers"......I find that a bit amusing considering the Watchtower Society has printed in its own pubications that "independent thinking is not necessary". Go figure. A cult is a cult is a cult. The simple word "cult" does indeed apply here. I would say one needs to be more specific as to just what kind of cult is being spoken of. In this case, that would be a "destructive cult". It is also extremely typical for some to try to say that my sisters had "bad experiences" as if that somehow makes their experience over 30 years some sort of abherration. I detect that you equate my sisters as "bad apples". That's not going to flush here. Their experiences involved lives dedicated to that organization. Responsibility for the flock and responsibility for the behavior of the organization's leadership, or lack thereof, is not something to put on a shelf. Certainly, nobody should suggest that if 10,000 JWs are morons that ALL of them must be. Likewise, when you read the brochures and magazines put out by the Watchtower Society, you should keep it in mind that they also should not judge others based on a "few bad apples" or "experience".

    Have a delightful day,
    God Bless

LETS JUST SAY THIS. THERE IS A WAR AND YOU ARE ON ONE SIDE. WILL YOU WIN OR LOSE?
JW DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT.
JW DON'T FIGHT. UNLIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD(IN WARS, IN FAMILYS, ETC.). THIS IS A GOOD THING. DONT YOU AGREE? THE ULTIMATE FIGHT WILL BE JEHOVAHS. AGAINST ALL PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT PEACEFUL (LETS SAY). AND THE WORLD WILL BE A PARADISE AGAIN (JUST AS GOD PURPOSED IT TO BE BEFORE ADAM SINNED). ASK YOURSELF: WHY WOULD JEHOVAH WANT THIS FOR OUR WORLD?(THE PAIN, SICKNESS,AND DEATH)-WELL HE DOESNT, AND HE'S SAID ALL ALONG THAT IT'S GOING TO CHANGE. JEHOVAHS QUALITIES ARE JUSTICE, WISDOM, PEACE, AND LOVE. ACCORDING TO YOU THESE ARE GOOD QUALITIES I HOPE. REGARDLESS I STILL FEEL THAT NOTHING MAY CHANGE YOUR MIND. YOU WILL BE WHO YOU ARE. BUT JUST KNOW, THAT THIS IS JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG OF WHAT JEHOVAHS WHITNESSES BELEIVE. AND ALL OF THEIR BELEIFS ARE JUST AS POSITIVE AND JUST AS SIMPLE TO EXPLAIN. AND I'M SURE YOU'LL FIND THINGS TO CRITICIZE IN HERE, BUT IT WILL PROBABLY BE AS A RESULT OF YOU INTERPRETING MY FEELINGS WRONG. WHAT WAS YOUR RELIGION AS A CHILD AND HOW DID YOU FEEL AS A CHILD? THIS IS FOR PERSONAL KNOWLEDE.

  8. Ahhh the ole "JWs are neutral" spiel. I realize that you are led to believe that. I might even give you that one.......I believe that you may well be "neutral" regarding wars......but your organization, that is, the corporation that has control over you involve themselves in things that the flock(you),may not always be informed about. For example, the RegTech military contracts and the HomeSolutions Inc. military contracts, and the recently revealed United Nations involvement as an NGO. So much for that "neutrality" stance. I would say that indeed this stuff is just the "tip of the iceberg" and that Watchtower iceberg is melting rather rapidly. I was fuly expecting the question regarding my "religion" as a child. I will tell you that when I was a child, I was a child, I spoke as a child, and I viewed everything as a child. I ain't a child now. I am a grandfather now and I have seen and experienced much over the years. Perhaps you would like to set aside those questions that folks such as me know that you are going to ask and how about you cutting to the chase here, since you believe that you are Christian, and try explaining how Jesus is rejected symbolically by Jehovah's Witnesses in an annual ritual.......and better yet, dip into your "Revelation, It's Grand Climax Is At Hand" book, study it again, then explain for everyone that might read these exchanges, how Jesus Christ is not just Michael the Archangel (which just about everyone knows JWs believe) but Jesus Christ is Abaddon the fallen angel of the abyss. That's always a fun discussion when JWs at the door are asked about it. (By the way.......make sure that you are not penciling in any hours on your service card.)
