From Paradise To The Land Of Corruption
Ahhhhhhh it was a great vacation........it might just be the best one yet. I had a great time and it was good to get away. Unfortunately, I had to come back to Maryland. Let's see............before I left, I wrote about how I had not received my absentee ballot. Well, when I returned home the only thing resembling a ballot in the mail was a "sample" ballot. That's right.........I was denied my right to vote. In fact, my wife was aso denied her right to vote as well. I am sure there were many others who never got theirs. Of course, there isn't any mention of this stuff in the media. The result?, the Democrats took the election here in Maryland. Some would say a "change" was needed..........and yet only about 40 percent of eligible voters voted. I can fully understand why some people do not even bother to vote, but for eligible voters to be denied their choice of using absentee ballots?.........that's corruption. No doubt about it. Nationally, I think it's a safe bet that there are people that had the same happen to them. Maryland was making progress until now. Marylanders can rest assured that their taxes will go up ridiculously. Keep in mind that while a Republican Governor was in office, the Democrats still had a stronghold on the Maryland Legislature. That means that we will actually have more of the same old, same old politicians there except this time there will be a boneheaded yes-man at the top of the heap. Oh well........what was I expecting anyway?
In the next day or two, I will write about the vacation. I feel compelled to put into writing, the experience I had. I may complain about Maryland or the United States often, but when you see other parts of the world around you, you get a better feeling about your own surroundings. Besides, I couldn't be away from the kids and grandkids for too long. Next time, they will have to go with me........hehehe.
