Vegas Wedding

Sometimes you are busy, and sometimes you just don't feel like doing anything........and then there are those times when your laptop refuses to cooperate with you. All three of these may be applied as to the reason for my not posting much to this blog lately.

So there I was..........on a plane to Las Vegas. Not to gamble.........not to frolick..........but a very special occasion..........a wedding..........a quick, short, simple, and sweet wedding. NO......it wasn't ME getting married..........although I have been married twice to the same woman (Supernurse), and that's a whole 'nother story.............but it was the marriage of my Number Two Daughter (Noodle). I won't get into details too much here, so the pictures should speak for themselves.

We all stayed at the Excalibur Hotel. I had a real nice view of the Luxor Hotel next door. For what it is worth, here are a few pictures of what can be found inside the Luxor.

Pretty scarey eh?

They even have an IMAX theater in there.

It must have costed a crapload of pesos to make this hotel.

For those who have no clue about the Luxor.........the main building of their complex is a huge pyramid. Surely, some people have wondered what it must look like inside. Well.....now you know. This picture is the inside of the pyramid.........I was looking up at the ceiling.

The view from my room.

The airport is very close to the "Strip".

When is a sign not a sign?...........when it's an obelisk!

I think it is rather neat that Vegas is surrounded by mountains.

You cannot visit Vegas without a stroll along Las Vegas Boulevard. Themed hotels are the big deal. You can just about see the world in a short walk. Pyramids.......Medieval Castles.......New York........France.......Rome..........Venice..........you name it!

In Vegas....everything is BIG! The signs alone are HUGE!
The weekend that we were in Vegas, it also just so happened to be Cinco DeMayo. It also happened to be the weekend of the BIG FIGHT........Mayweather vs. De Lahoya. Needless to say.......people were there in droves.

The majority of the signs have video advertising...........and not just small screens either......some of these are HUGE!

I imagine it takes a HUGE chunk of change to actually live in one of these.

Oh.........that's right.............the wedding!
Everything went without a hitch........well.......a few minor glitches, but nothing that could not be resolved easily. This was yet another major milestone in my life...............now all of my daughters are married. My "Noodle" girl is all grown up and I have gained another son-in-law.

Now there's a nice looking couple. I must admit..........I had tears in my eyes.

Me, Noodle, Noodle's new Other Half, and the love of my life......Supernurse.
I am such a lucky guy!

Alot Of Stuff Can Happen In A Month's Time

Okay....okay......so it has been almost a month since my last entry to this thing called a blog. No....I haven't run out of things to say...........and No.......we haven't run out of morons or bogosity to write about. Let's just say I have been busy doing other stuff...........a little travel, a few special occasions, and a good dosage of unexpected good fortune.

Speaking of good fortune............that's me holding a decent array of one hundred dollar bills.

I recently took a trip to Tennessee to visit relatives. Everything was great and a good time was had by all. This trip was extra-special in that I got to visit there at the same time a long lost cousin was visiting from Newfoundland. I had not seen her since I was a little kid. I also met her husband, a retired Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer. As I stated.....everything was great and the weather was fantastic.

Now that I am no longer a young guy, driving twelve or thirteen hours straight is way too draining. On this trip, we broke up the drive and stayed overnight in Knoxville, on the way there. Coming back, we stopped in Salem, Virginia and had a good sleep and headed on up I-81 in the morning. As I approached the exit for Baltimore/Washington...........I got an idea in my head to keep going straight towards Winchester instead of turning off of the Interstate. I had gone this way once before....many moons ago......I figured I would cut on over Rt 7 to 340 and head thru Harper's Ferry WV...up into Frederick MD, hop on I-70 and go right into Baltimore. No problem........and at one point, as we were approaching Charles Town / Harper's Ferry, I need to stretch my legs a bit.......I told the wife, Supernurse, that I wanted to stop for a bit and she responded with......... "Stop at Charles Town and play the slots for a while".............Imagine that!

As it happened, we did stop. We entered the casino, I put a twenty dollar bill into a slot machine, sat there for a while....took my time......Supernurse grabbed a bite to eat.........and in a very short period of time, I had racked up about two hundred dollars worth of credits on the slot machine..........and it was a NICKEL SLOT! The wife sits down next to me and starts yakking on her cellphone and she hints that we ought to hit the road. I agreed........and I thought for a moment and figured I would keep playing until she used a different tone of voice.....hehehe.

All of a sudden, lights were flashing, the machine froze up and a big message was on the screen for me to "See Attendant". I thought I broke it....hehehe......so I got Supernurse's attention and asked her to look at the screen........her eyes got big when she saw that I had just hit for some sixteen thousand credits or so. I forget the exact amount it was. I asked her how much that worked out to be............she didn't know.......neither did I......and then some lady walks over to me and looks at the machine and tells me I just nailed that machine big time. You can imagine how I began to feel.............I looked at the wife and said "we should be jumping up and down and screaming, shouldn't we?" Well.......we didn't. We acted like it was a normal routine thing....hehehe......didn't want too much attention brought our way. The attendant shows up, gets some pertinent information from me and comes back with a shitload of cash and counts it out, hands me a t-shirt, and congratulates me. It was $1,600 dollars! and she tells me to try the machine again before she walks away so she can make sure it functions properly. I say "OK" and notice I still have more than 200 dollars worth of credits on the machine!

Not a bad chunk fo change for an hour's rest.

I plan on visiting Charles Town again.....real soon!

Before our trip to Tennessee, I got a visit from a friend of mine that I had not seen in twenty years. Man........where does time go? Paul........I love ya man and you are in my prayers.

Global Warming?...............hehehehehehe, you got to be kidding me.
I am glad Spring is here......Baseball has begun......flowers are blooming........now if we can just get the weather to cooperate.

I have much more to write but I shall save it for another day..........

'til next time.

Moron Of The Week - Rosie O'Donnell

Okay......It's been a while since I last put something on the blog.........but...gee.....sometimes a guy has other things to do........even if those things are not very important. I have been somewhat lacking in keeping up with the various morons of the week, so this week I am gonna have to give you a Moron Of The Week that will cover all of the times that I have failed to come up with one here on the blog.
To choose Rosie O'Donnell as the Moron Of The Week......well.....it was a no-brainer. Aside from her most recent barrage of anti-American, pro-terrorism, ultra-liberal verbal diarrhea..........here are a few more things that come to mind to describe the moron known as Rosie O'Donnell:
Fat
Loudmouth
Feminine?......not a chance
She cannot smile
Looks like she smells something bad
She has never been funny....ever.
Did I mention that she must be addicted to twinkies?
Her bottom teeth are always showing, unless she snarls as in the photo above.
She is allegedly suffering from depression.........who would have guessed?

And now on to some stuff I gotta mention about other things:

Stick a fork in ole Oscar............the award no longer impresses me. Toss Oscar in the trashbin with the Grammy. Both awards are so flagrantly predictable, it just wastes your time to bother watching.

No doubt about it, it was a sad end to this sad person. If her life was a circus, it was no surprise that after she died, the show must go on. During the Judge Fonzie show.......the media reported that it was a "circus" in the courtroom. Well anybody could have said that and it would have been true indeed....but the icing on that cake came about when that video of Anna Nicole Smith with clown makeup was played in the courtroom. If you are gonna have a circus....you gotta have a clown. It is sad. Here are a few things I have to say about this whole fiasco:
In my opinion:
If a woman, regardless of her notoriety, has numerous sex partners, and in return she recieves "perks" and "gifts" such as "favors", "money", "living arrangements", and even "drugs".......there is no other words to describe her profession other than "prostitute". I am sure we will hear of all sorts of fairly wealthy old farts that have done business with her.
Howard K. Stern is nothing but a wannabee, whose entire existence relied heavily upon whatever he could suck out of Anna Nicole Smith. Did he have affection for her?........of course he did...........he still does......and he is doing his damned best to make sure he can do some more sucking.
All of those lawyers involved. They are not kidding anyone here.......each and every one of them see dollar signs.
Anna Nicole Smith's "estranged" mother. I feel sorry for her to a certain degree.......but......she is seeing dollar signs too. I am also not surprised that she and her daughter were not all happy-happy together.....after all.......I wouldn't think any drug addict would have a close, warm and fuzzy relationship with her mother if her mother happens to be in law enforcement. Of course Anna Nicole was upset with her mom....her mom was a cop!
The baby.........unfortunately, the best thing for this kid would be if all of the above named persons all went away. If ever there was a kid needing adoption.........there ya go. Personally, I would have no problem with this kid's actual biological father getting custody........with certain conditions. Keep the kid off of the TV, no movies, and no money from any possible inheritance until the age of 21.
My personal thoughts on the death of Anna Nicole Smith AND the death of her son Daniel...........homicide......plain and simple....it's a no-brainer. Most likely there is more than one person that should be held accountable. Without a doubt, WHOEVER "supplied" the drugs needs to be in jail. WHOEVER "dispensed" those drugs needs to be in jail. And WHOEVER "enabled" and "encouraged" the abuse of those drugs needs to be in jail. I predict that the doctor's involved in this, along with Howard K. Stern, will be rung up on charges very soon.
This should sum it all up.........normally, when somebody dies...........immediate family members, and very close friends, do not find it upon themselves to lawyer up with dozens of lawyers. Also, when someone dies, it is not the norm to bargain with media and give exclusive rights to video of the funeral. Then again.............most of us really loved the person that passed away and are not blinded by flashing dreams of millions of dollars. It is sad. What all of this tells me, is that none of them really cared for Anna Nicole the person.......they only cared for what being associated with her might get them.

And Jesus God.........will somebody please teach Greta Van Susteren how to say "Anna Nicole Smith"??????!!!!!!!! She simply cannot say it correctly.......she continually says "Ann Nicole" or "Anna Cole".

Music For Dinner

We decided to go out to dinner last night. We went to a new place nearby called the Silver Moon Diner. While the service was a bit questionable, I gotta tell you that the food was fantastic. I ordered broiled flounder stuffed with crab and there was so much of it that I could not eat it all. Everything tasted great. While we were eating, we fed a dollar into the game/music jukebox that was located in our booth. To my surprise, the musical options were staggering..........and lo and behold......I saw a list of my favorites. It is really unusual to find complete Todd Rundgren & Utopia albums on a jukebox in a diner. I selected the Utopia "Ra" album and the very long song entitled "Singring & The Glass Guitar". Imagine that............I was in heaven. Fantastic music to go with fantastic food makes for a fantastic dinner. Hats off to the folks at the Silver Moon Diner.

Here is a photo of Utopia back in the day................if you have never heard them, you have missed much. Chances are.........you most likely have heard these guys and never knew it. They were the musicians on the Meat Loaf album "Bat Out Of Hell". Also, Todd Rundgren was the producer of that album.

I ran across this picture on the internet. I swear I saw this same guy at the grocery store the other day.
Oh well, it is snowing here again...............this is where, as a Baltimoreon, I am supposed to go immediately to the grocery store and buy up all of the toilet paper, milk, and bread.
Until next time.........

Signtopia's Gotta Tell Ya

I don't know about you folks.........but I figure sooner or later there will be a movie about Dionne Warwick.......uh.......Warwicke.....uh.........Warwick. (I almost had a psychic moment there....hehehe)

........and I figure if they make that movie, they are gonna need somebody that can act and even have a certain resemblence to Dionne Warwick. No..........not Halle Berry.........no, not Fantasia........no, not Whitney.............not even the late great Esther Rolle.
The best bet would be this man........

Samuel L. Jackson. Imagine that.........Samuel L. Jackson as Dionne Warwick. Slap a little high yellow makeup on him and let him have at it. He could even get an Oscar.

I enjoy laughing. I love all kinds of humor. Somebody needs to explain to me what it is that they are doing over at Saturday Night Live. SNL has not been funny in years. Having said that, they had only been funny here and there. Apparently there is somebody that decides what they will be doing on that show...........that person needs a new job. If you or I had that job and did the same lousy job as he or she does.....we would be fired. The writers of that show, also need to go. I find it hard to believe that they cannot attract some decent comedy writers. I am now wondering if these are the same people that run the music industry. They are obviously out of touch with the population. First off, the show comes on Saturday Nights.........and everybody knows who is at home on a Saturday Night watching TV.........certainly NOT the target market of the program........they happen to be out having a good time and not watching television.
There is nothing fresh about SNL.....nothing. It is as stale as the popcorn found in a ghetto movie theater in 1973. They should stick a fork in the show and call an end to it. It just is NOT funny anymore. I would rather watch reruns of the old Dean Martin Roasts.........now THOSE were funny.

Oh....and by the way.........has anyone noticed that Greta Van Susteren of FoxNews is unable to say "Anna Nicole Smith"? She repeatedly says "Ann Nicole" or "Anna Cole".
Also, there are a few pictures they keep running of that same Anna Nicole Smith that look exactly like Nicole Simpson..........I bet OJ flips out when he sees those...........come to think of it....maybe OJ killed Anna Nicole too.
And that shooting incident in a Utah shopping mall............I wonder why the major media isn't telling us the complete story. The moron that did the shooting is reported to be a "troubled youth". They never tell us that he is a MUSLIM and he performed a TERRORIST ACT. Ask the people in the mall if they were terrorized. Of course they were. I think that it is about time the truth be reported.
Until next time..............stay reasonable.

Grammy Nonsense

Oh well, another year.......another prime example of bogosity wafts throughout the airwaves. At this point, it is rather difficult to remember when exactly it last was when the Grammy Awards were important, relevant, and actually having anything to do with quality of music.

For some odd reason, I decided to tune into the annual Grammy Awards show last night at the risk of being called a masochist. Actually, the Grammys is like a bad accident on the highway........when you pass by, you just have to bend your neck and have a look. That's a shame ain't it? The Grammy Awards should attract an audience because of an anticipated excellence, quality and achievements that are worthy of recognition. Instead, the Grammys is a bad accident. I find it difficult to believe that there are not hordes of people that really really know that the Grammy Awards are bogus. We all knew that officially back when Jethro Tull won Best Hard Rock Group several years back. Interestingly, this year, the winner of the Rock Group category was the Red Hot Chili Peppers......hehehe......one of whom, by the way, upon accepting the award...said "we need some more rock groups!" as if there wasn't any. Well if the media moguls that run the Grammy would have it their way, as they already have, you will never ever hear about all of the numerous rock groups out there. They never get airplay......and this has been the problem all along, hasn't it? The very same people that are in charge of the Grammys are the very same people that ruined the initial concept of MTV. I haven't heard any "music" on MTV in years.

It should be no surprise that my own favorite music to listen to never gets airplay. The musicians never win awards either. Oddly, those same musicians operate outside of the control of the big music industry conglomerates. Some of those musicians have managed themselves rather nicely for many, many years. Example: Consider Todd Rundgren. I cannot even comprehend exactly what Todd would have to do to get recognition for his efforts from the folks at the Grammys. Musically, Rundgren has always been on the cutting edge, a pioneer..........a musician whose sounds are often copied by others. Aside from being a great musician and vocalist, he happens to be a great producer. Strangely, not many people are aware of this. XTC's Skylarking, Grand Funk Railroad, and Meat Loaf! to name a few he has produced. The same industry that rejects Rundgren's efforts also once rejected the Bat Out Of Hell album. Idiots! That album went on to be one of the largest selling albums in history and started a franchise that continues to this very day.

So instead of watching a program where I would be in awe of the performers onstage, the only reason for me to have any "awe" was how so many talentless morons were able to be considered worthy enough to perform and be presenters.

If ever there was a sign of the end.........this is one of them.

Music isn't dead.........yet.........but they sure want us to think it is. Meanwhile, I shall be listening to folks like Todd Rundgren, David Sancious, Kate Bush, and others like them...........oh.......and I discovered something recently...........it appears that other countries have much more appreciation for great musicianship. So I figured I would listen to music from around the world instead of any radio. Sorry........I just cannot support the morons that run the music industry in the USA. If my radio is on, it's on talk radio.
Therefore......the 100% Certified Bogosity Award goes to the Grammys.
.............they should be ashamed of themselves.

Assorted Ramblings

Here are a few things I just have to mention today:

They might as well cut to the chase and create the "Law & Order" Channel.

While they are at it..........a "CSI" Channel, too.

I used to think MSNBC's Chris Matthews was at least worth watching now and again.........but not any more. "Hardball" sucks more than ever before. Somebody needs to tell Matthews that his infatuation with uttering the name "Scooter Libby" as if it is the most important thing to do every day.....well.....maybe Matthews could sit down with Keith Olbermann and actually watch some of the other news programs and take notice that there are other more serious issues out there that they need to be telling people about. (hint hint........as in there are people on the planet that want to kill Americans including Matthews and Olbermann)

I visited my cardiologist for my annual checkup. He said "See you next year". Sounds good to me.

I also went to the Maryland Motor Vehicles Administration offices to renew the license tags on my car. For the first time in history, I only spent fifteen minutes there! Later that evening it snowed!.....no kidding! On a sad note.........the next day I read in the local newspaper where the Motor Vehicle Administration announced that because of more stringent requirements regarding driver's licenses, we will all be spending more time in line at their offices. One step forward.....three steps back!

I am irritated by all of the yack on the news about the idiots that want to be President. We are nowhere near an election yet and people are trying to tell us who is in the lead! Did I miss something somewhere?

Regarding those news polls.............they have never called me....not even once! I wonder just who they have been calling?

It is almost laughable how people on tv rant and rave and whine about how many of our soldiers have been killed in Iraq...........all the while these same morons haven't expressed any outrage about the number of people killed in Baltimore every year. They also have no complaints about the thousands of deaths every year resulting from lousy driving, the flu, pneumonia, heart attacks, poison, etc, etc.

There is a part of me that gets irritated when tornado victims say "God protected us!" Part of me wants to scream out "If God was protecting you, there would not have been a tornado" or "If God was looking out for you, He would have prevented you from buying that trailer"

It's hard to believe it's February already! I still have candy canes to eat.

Da Bears blew it.

And how about that Purple Publisher, Prince. Prince is now a Jehovah's Witness. Most people probably did not notice that during his performance during halftime at the Super Bowl, Prince threw in a snippet of Bob Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower". Well I noticed. I noticed how he managed to insert his own words into that song....."allllll along the watchtower......"and I've picked up a few". Apparently he has. I wonder how all of the other Jehovah's Witnesses out ther felt seeing one of their own strutting around in a pimp suit on top of his own personal icon which was designed to reflect the male and female in him.......hmmm. And did you notice that "do-rag" on his head? I did.....and then it hit me.........he is copying Little Richard. By the way, I wonder if Prince wears those high heels when he goes door to door on Saturday mornings. Ain't he special?

Oh well.....I feel much better now having said this stuff.

Have a look at some of God's artwork.

Lady Lake Tornado

Last night I was using my computer and doing some random searches for stuff, for no particular reason.......just out of boredom, I suppose. I always check for latest news reports and stuff like that. After getting my fill of news, I decided to check for some stuff on You Tube. I, of course searched for videos about Baltimore and some of my favorite musicians....to see if there was anything new out there..........and for the first time, I searched the word "Maryland". To my surprise, I saw some videos listed for a cheerleading squad that just so happens to be the very same cheerleading squad that my daughter had been a cheerleader and coach with for many years. It brought back memories of hauling my daughter back and forth to dozens and dozens of practice sessions and competitions. Of course, her cheerleading squad was one of the nation's very best.........snicker snicker.

I got tired of looking at You Tube stuff and went back to searching Google for stuff at random. I had no particular reason to do a search for the town of Lady Lake, Florida.......except for the fact we lived there for a few years back in the early eighties. I figured I would see what was up with the town. Well, outside of news stories about retirement communities and the local police chief asking for money for more high powered rifles.........there wasn't much happening. This was about midnight and I got tired and went to bed. By the way, that Lady Lake Police Chief is none other than a guy named Ed Nathanson. Ed was once an employee of mine. I hired him as a bouncer when I managed a liquor store and lounge in Leesburg, Florida. At the time, he was attending training classes so he could become a cop. As it was, at that time, I don't believe Lady Lake had more than two officers and he became one of them. Ed was a pretty decent guy and I am sure he still is.

So I wake up this morning to look at the television and see where Lady Lake, Florida was decimated by tornadic weather at about 3 A.M. I was shocked! I saw the pictures and watched and listened closely to see if I could recognize anyone or any buildings. I couldn't.....of course alot of that area has changed alot over the years and I probably wouldn't recognize much of it at this point anyway, BUT, on FOXnews I heard them interview a woman on the phone. She was the manager of a Dunkin' Donuts (they didn't have one of those in Lady Lake when I lived there) and she mentioned that she was particularly upset because one of her friends who "owns a nursery, lost her mother.........and the nursery was destroyed". Lady Lake is not a huge place, in fact, when I lived there it was a wide place in the road....so to speak.........a speed trap along 27/441. But when I lived there, I lived in an upstairs apartment.....above the NURSERY! It was called Cange's Nursery and it was right next to the building that was a "miniature castle"......right down the street from the log cabin. My apartment was at the very same northern part of Lady Lake that was being spoken about as having been destroyed overnight.

It is pretty strange to see people live in a small, somewhat perfect world and in the blink of an eye......a few seconds...........it is all gone. Nature can be good and can be very bad. Those people are gonna need alot of help....it is amazing that anyone survived. So what does all of this have to do with me searching the internet last night?..........

I cannot explain why I happened to search "Lady Lake" on the internet news last night BEFORE the destruction.

I cannot explain it except to say it was all a "coincidence"..............
.........one problem with that explanation..........remember that cheerleading squad I mentioned above?.............the squad's name is the Maryland "TWISTERS" and their logo is a tornado........so now I have absolutely NO explanation for THAT.

I just do not know what to make of it.

See the nice picture above.

It is a nice picture of bubble wrap.

People love to pop bubble wrap.

You can pop bubble wrap now without actually having any.

Go ahead...you know you wanna......you cannot resist....... www.virtual-bubblewrap.com/popnow.shtml

Picture Proof

Here is a photo of one of those Watchtower icons that I previously mentioned...........I do not make this stuff up.

Keeping An Eye On Jehovah's Witnesses

It's a shame that people are so vulnerable. As if there aren't enough things to have to keep an eye on..............somebody still needs to keep an eye on the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society Inc of NY. and its alleged 6 million plus door-knocking magazine morons. Again, I must set the record straight.....lest anyone think otherwise........I do not "hate" Jehovah's Witnesses.......although there are some of them that I do despise tremendously. For the most part, I believe that the majority of them really believe that they are doing the right thing. They refer to their group as the "Truth" even though it is rather farther toward the opposite end of the spectrum. Most people haven't any clue about Jehovah's Witnesses except that they are the people that knock on your door and pester you. Alot of people would say....."Jehovah's?.......oh.......nice people." Those same people probably never encountered the assorted Jehovah's Witnesses that I have encountered over the years.

Back to keeping an eye on them..........Why bother doing that?

There has to be people that are fairly informed about them, so that when a Jehovah's Witness comes knocking, they will get at least a smidgeon or two of some facts about themselves that they otherwise will never hear or be told. Some things just need to be pointed out. Occasionally, I intend on doing exactly that right here on this blog.......that way, you will have something to say to them other than "Leave me alone!"

For instance, the Jehovah's Witnesses are very much irritated that Christians wear a cross around their necks. They will go on about how there never was a cross and it was just a pole. They would also say that a true christian does not worship idols or icons or any symbols. What you would want to do is point out how they are a bunch of hypocrites. Look at the nice logo of the Watchtower in the photo above. I would bet anyone that if you show a Jehovah's Witness any picture, such as this one, their eyes would light up and one of the would say "Oh, look! The Watchtower!" Not much of a big deal really.......but you might toss in how some of their "brothers" have been selling "Watchtower" cufflinks and tie clasps on Ebay! Check it out for yourselves.......better yet...have them check it out.

Another little tidbit is that the Jehovah's Witness is big on telling everybody how true christians would never participate in or utilize things or days that have "pagan origins". This is always a fun topic of discussion with these people at the door. Right off the bat, ask them what day it is.......hehehe. Better yet.....ask them what day they hold their meetings at the hall......The Jehovah's Witness cannot tell you what day it is without using the names of the days of the week......each of those names are pagan in origin. While you are at it on the "pagan" things discussion.........chances are one of them is married.........try to notice their hands.....look for a wedding band. Ask them about that. Wedding bands are pagan in origin too. Like I said before, chances are, the Jehovah's Witness has no clue about what they are actually doing....sometimes you just have to point it out to them.

On a far more serious level............their organization has been known to produce some rather sensational articles and pictures in their magazines and books. People need to be paying attention to this stuff........cas in point, the image shown above.........a bit startling to see the image of the twin towers with a rocket and a plane close together............isn't it?........no big deal eh?.......except this image was distributed many years before 9/11 ever occurred. Now some might try to suggest that the image was somehow "prophetic". I do not buy into that one. I do not recall Jesus ever trying to frighten people into following him. What I will say is this........we hear repeatedly over and over about how the "radical" Islamics are responsible for terrorism. We also know that those "radical" Islamics are financed by somebody. The money comes from various assorted places. What does this have to do with the Watchtower? ....well.......consider this.......they are definately in the business of doom and gloom....end of the world stuff......hehehe....it is good for business.....people buy the magazines and books......and the result is a few more recruits and a whole lot more money. They ain't feeding the poor or helping the homeless people.....they ain't got no hospitals.......quite simply....the Watchtower is not a charity in any sense of the word. So where is the money going? It seems to me that it is a great possibility that any business would invest in things that create more business. It would not surprise me if the Watchtower funneled money to the "radical" Islamists to help finance some doom and gloom "armageddon is coming" kinds of events. I surely hope that Homeland Security has been looking carefully at people that they otherwise would never expect.....such as the Watchtower. Oh....and they have a history of such stuff...........it was ole Judge Rutherford, president of the Watchtower that once sent a letter to Hitler........he said that Germany and the Watchtower shared a common enemy......."the United States and Great Britain"!!! Most current Jehovah's Witnesses are not aware of this stuff either.

I hear word that the Jehovah's Witnesses are "studying" another book now.........the "Revelation, It's Grand Cimax Is At Hand" book.....the "red" book. It seems to me they ought to "study" it more often, considering that the majority of Jehovah's Witnesses that I have encountered have only a vague recollection of what is actually being taught to them from this particular book. Because they are "studying" this particular book again..........I shall offer a nice tidbit for you to mention to them if they show up at your door.

Jehovah's Witnesses will tell you that they believe that Jesus is the "Son" of God. They will tell you that Jesus is NOT Jehovah, but that Jesus is "a" god. Well....first off.....that ought to tell ya that they believe in more than one god. They would also tell you that Jesus is Michael, the archangel. Okay....so now Jesus is an angel. He is a god and he is an angel. Hmmmmm........but it gets better folks..........here is what they will NEVER come right out and tell you unless you have been fully indoctrinated into their "system of things"............they also believe that Jesus is Abaddon.....the fallen angel of the abyss in Revelation 9!! Comedy Boys very funny

This is from some sort of British tv show. I thought this routine was pretty darned good and as it kept on going....it got even better. The part with the pogo stick almost made me mess my pants. Brilliant!
The Amazing Jonathon Part 2

Here is part two.

Unless you know my relatives, you just would never understand how much these two look like them.
The Amazing Jonathon Part 1

I cannot explain why it is that there are people that look exactly like other people. Aside from this video being very funny, it turns out that Jonathon looks quite a bit like a certain brother-in-law of mine. It also turns out that his "volunteer" looks extremely like a certain nephew of mine. Its almost scary to see this kind of thing. Anyway, this is in two parts....enjoy!

Happy Rhodes - Bee Gees' Immortality (New Haven house gig)

I have always been a big Kate Bush fan and there came a day when I searched to find other musicians that were similar in voice to Kate Bush. I found Happy Rhodes. Happy should be a huge star, but then again, she is probably too serious about her music and we all know that the record companies could care less about great musicians. Here is Happy, while performing at one of her "house concerts". That's right, she will come to your home and do a show........gotta love it.

Enjoy!

Signtopia Says.....

I hear that there is a third sequel to the movie "Saw".
I won't be going to see it.........I am waiting for them to make
a movie called "Belt Sander".

We finally got some snow here in Baltimore yesterday!
As usual, Baltimorons stormed the grocery stores
and stocked up on toilet paper, bread, and milk.
The snow plows were out and the local schools
went ahead and delayed the opening of schools for two hours.
The news headline, in print and local television, was "Winter Blast!"
"First Snowstorm Of The Season!".............and the kicker is,
all we got was only about an inch and a half of powdery white snow!!!....
......only in Balwlamer Hon!

I got in the car and channel surfed the radio stations while going to
the store the other day
...........as expected, I failed to find any music worth listening to.

While in line at the checkout in the grocery store, I overheard this hugely obese woman telling the cashier that she is on a new diet plan. The woman must have weighed over 300 pounds! from what I could tell. I noticed the items she had placed on the conveyor belt.............three boxes of Twinkies and six half-gallons of ice cream and ten candy bars! Go figure!

It appears that there are alot of folks announcing that they are running for President.
Unfortunately, NONE of them are worth voting for.

The only people that truly have a nickname
are those whose names ARE Nick.

Jehovah's Witnesses seem to be quiet lately.....
.....they must still be busy wolfing down the leftovers from the holidays.

It's Only January And The Signs Of Our Demise Are All Over The Place

There seems to have been alot of reports lately about people seeing strange lights in the sky around the world. This is nothing that hasn't been reported before.....except these days, the people that have been seeing these strange objects in the sky, have been credible. I have no idea what to make of it.....except it cannot be a good thing.

Most people wouldn't recognize any signs of the end even if those signs spun around in circles.

I don't know about you folks, but when I see this picture of our President George Bush with tears running down his cheek, I am reminded of that old television commercial that had an Indian with tears running down his cheek because of people destroying the beauty of our land. It was about littering and littering is not good. When I see the picture above, I know it is not about littering, but something far deeper than that. I understand that he was moved at a ceremony for one of our fallen soldiers, however, my own gut feeling is that those tears are about much more than the fallen soldier. I get the feeling that President Bush knows alot more about things than most of us realize. He has a tough job and you can be sure that our President is informed about stuff that none of us even bother to try to comprehend. Add that to his own beliefs in the bible. You gotta know that Bush is between a rock and a hard place. On one hand, he has to do what he can to try to do something about the terrorist situation even though it may be unpopular to do so according to his political foes....and on the other hand, he most assuredly understands that he does not want to do things in such a large scale that would throw the switch for full scale turmoil across the planet. That full scale turmoil is written about in the bible. So what is he to do?

That full scale turmoil will come soon enough on its own. The antichrist is waiting in the wings. I hope I am wrong, but there are alot of folks that agree with me on this one.

On a smaller scale, yet another sign of the end, occurred at the ignauration ceremony and celebration here in Maryland the other day. Yep, Martin O'Malley, former Mayor of Baltimore, is now our Governor. As if that is not sign enough for us.........one of the speakers at that Ignaural ceremony was this country's newly appointed Speaker Of The House Nancy Pelosi. Remember, I wrote before how Pelosi was born and raised right here in Baltimore's Little Italy. She is a D'Alesandro. Very prominent political "family". Some would say the D'Alesandro folks were pretty smart....er....knew their constituents rather personally. Well.......yet another sign of our demise came when Pelosi opened her old mug on the microphone announcing that "Martin O'Malley, not only was a great mayor of Baltimore....but he will be a great governor of...............(get this).................CALIFORNIA"!!!!!!!

Jesus God, we are all doomed!

This one ought to get your attention. Diet water!

Yet another sign of the end!

Strategics, Observations & Flagrant Nonsense

I pretty much stay tuned to the news. I would like to believe that I am on top of things. I also know that some of the stuff that is happening or reported, is complete and utter nonsense. There is an old saying...."You cannot bullshit a bullshitter." I have done my share of bullshitting over the years.......it's a bad habit but......if you want to be able to survive on this planet, it's practically a necessary evil. What IS necessary, is that each and every one of us needs to have the ability to recognize bullshit when we see or hear it.

Consider the following:

The President decides to send another 20,000 or so troops over to Iraq. Okay.........that sort of stuff is actually a normal kind of event when it comes to wars.....it should not come as any surprise or shock to your system. The problem is how it is reported. It has been repeatedly reported as being a "surge" in troops. A "surge"........as if that is to indicate some sort of negative turn of events. In actuality, it is nothing but what has otherwise been called "sending in some reinforcements". Think of it this way............in your own hometown criminal activity may be on the rise and everybody is thinking "we need more police" to try to put a lid on the problems. So what do the powers that be desperately want?.........more police on the streets! To each and every one of us, THAT makes sense. Likewise, if you are involved in a war of another kind, sometimes you need to send in some reinforcements. NOBODY ever reports that there has been a "surge" of police in our cities.

Also, the naysayers and ultra-liberals that have opposed the nation's efforts in the war on terror, would have you believe that it makes no sense that we have troops in Iraq. They fail to see the obvious strategy involved. They would have you believe that the only reason we went into Iraq was for oil. Remember that one? When that wasn't good enough...they suggested that we went there because of "weapons of mass destruction". Oh I love that one. Now, they whine that there never was any weapons of mass destruction and it was all a scam. Furthermore, they suggest that we had forgotten about the "real" culprit of 9-11, Osama Bin Laden. That's a real winner of a bunch of nonsense right there! Each and every one of us knows another old saying......"Never show your cards", yet there are people that believe our government, in particular, our President, should be showing all of his cards to everyone...including our enemies! This is where I really get irritated. Obviously, there are people out there that would like to believe that the majority of people in the United States are stupid boneheads that couldn't figure their way out of a paper bag. On some days, I might even agree with that thought myself....hehehe......BUT I happen to believe that there are far more bullshitters than there are complete idiots........and, as I stated earlier.......you cannot bullshit a bullshitter.

Nobody in their right mind enjoys the idea of war where anyone gets killed. Unfortunately, death goes hand in hand with war. It is expected. It is unreasonable to expect little or no casualties. People are outraged at every report of the death of a soldier, yet hardly anyone gives a shit that their friends and neighbors are getting killed left and right in our cities and towns on a daily basis. I have heard more about the number of deaths in Iraq than I have about the number of murders in the United States. No outrage. No marches on Washington. No speeches given by fat Senatorial morons. Nothing!

I could rant on and on about this whole issue, but I will not. What I will do is point out the obvious. What is obvious to me also makes sense to me. What is obvious....has never been reported. What makes sense has never been reported. If you are reading this.........you can never say you had never been told the real deal.

The real deal regarding the Iraq situation is this................strategics. Remember when after 9-11, the President told each and every one of us that this "war" would be "bigger" and "longer" than anyone thinks? He wasn't fibbing about that and he has been true to his word in this regard. This "war", he said, was a "war on terror". He never said it was just a war with Iraq. He also said that we had to take it to the terrorists and anyone that supported the terrorists.......on their own ground. Remember that? He said we needed to be on the offensive and not just on the defensive. That makes alot of sense to me. Even a fat idiot couch potato that loves football, would know that his favorite team has no chance of success with only a defense. You gotta have some offense. Okay........having said that......where does that all fit in? What is it that has not been reported?

It makes sense that we have a presence in Iraq. Because of our efforts in Iraq, we now have forces strategically placed in between Syria and Iran. Because of our presence in Afghanistan, we also now have Iran surrounded. You would have to be a moron to not see that we strategically are placed in areas we need to be placed if you are going to participate in a war on terror. You gotta know that the radical Islamists are not real happy about this situation. It has nothing to do with Saddam Hussein. Nothing.

Consider the following.........

Afghanistan is no stranger to war...........how quickly we all forget how long the USSR fought against them and could not come away victorious. We went in there and whooped ass. We did what we needed to do....nothing more and nothing less........and we did it rather quickly.

Iran fought for years and years with Iraq....neither side was able to overcome the other. We invaded Iraq and they ran like chickens. It was quick work, we overtook that regime in record time, with minimal casualties. You can imagine what was going through the minds of the wackos in Iran when they saw that. We have Iran surrounded now.

Syria has it's day coming. They have no protection on their west coast and we have a mighty navy. We are now based to their east and have Israel on their south. You gotta know that they know that they are gonna have to kick up the diplomacy at this point.

So there you have it............strategics. In a war as huge as the President indicated right from the start.........you would have to be a complete moron to think this was some small squabble and that our troops would be removed from that area of the world.

The big question is........why has the reporting been the way it has?

And the answer is.........."never show your cards".

The Big Game

There is no celebration in Baltimore tonight. The Ravens lost to the Colts 15 - 6. There were no touchdowns in this game.........all of the scoring came from field goals. That's pretty rare, but can be expected in a very defensive game.

Regarding my comments yesterday:

"As for tomorrow's football game......it should be a good one."
It surely was.

"It will most likely be a low scoring game and a close one at that"
Indeed, it was a low scoring game and a close one.

"......but I am going to go out on a limb here and tell you that since Baltimore bleeds purple now and the team is fully aware of the history in this city and that this particular game means far more to the fans than another step towards the Super Bowl.......I see a complete destruction of the Colts."
Sometimes when you go out on a limb, the limb breaks........hey......I am a Ravens fan....I gotta say stuff ike that!

"The Purple Palace will be extra loud and that make it difficult for Manning to call his shots at the scrimmage line."
Oh it was extra loud indeed.....and I am sure Manning had a tough time calling his shots. In fact, he didn't make very many of his usual shots to people such as Marvin Harrison.

Of course, I had predicted a final score of Ravens 30, Colts 20..........unfortunately that did not happen. the final score was 15-6 in favor of the Colts.

I am not ashamed to admit to defeat. We had a great season.......and we will be back at it again later this year.

As for the Colts..........Congratulations! You can keep the name another year......hehehe. Good luck with your next game............BUT wait just one minute!.........let's not forget the Unitas Curse!

One should always have an ace in the hole......hehehe.

Prelude to Baltimore Ravens vs. Indianapolis Colts (1/13/07)

I found this fantastic video that tells the story about Baltimore football and the game on Saturday. Notice the very end of the video.......Johnny Unitas. Remember what I said about the curse on Indy.
Tanita Tikaram: Cathedral Song

Not sure I understand the video to this song.....but I really like this song......give it a listen.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Who's Yer Colts

We have been waiting for this for a long time now. On Saturday afternoon, the Ravens will have the opportunity to shame the Irsay legacy once and for all in a playoff football game........everything is on the line....whoever loses, will have to wait for another year. Whoever wins, gets to play another day and head closer the Super Bowl. I have only one problem with this game.......the stakes should be higher.

There is no question that Baltimore does not get any respect from the NFL. Even the football commentators tried to ignore us all year....again. We shall see what they all say after the Colts get their deserved drubbing. The stakes ought to be higher. What could be better than to completely settle the sad history of the Colts? I suggest that if the Colts win, they can keep the "Colt" name.......and if they lose, they would have to rename the team to something else and retire the Colt name once and for all. Baltimore doesn't want the Colts name back, we are in love with the Ravens now........but the Colts name will forever be associated with Baltimore, like it or not, and the folks in Indianapolis deserve a name of their own without having to lug around the Baltimore Curse. Curse?........you betcha! It has been said that Indianapolis will never win a Super Bowl, no matter how good a team they put on the field, because of the Unitas Curse. Johnny Unitas knew what was right and he refused to allow his legacy to be associated in any way with the City of Indianapolis. It wasn't to slight or shame the fine people of Indiana.......it was because Unitas was a decent man and knew that the history of the Colts should never be shared with those that never had anything to do with it.

You might say.....well......the Ravens are the Browns, blah, blah, blah. Actually, Art Modell did things the proper way. He moved his team and changed the entire name.....completely dissassociating it from Cleveland. Cleveland got to keep their historic name "Browns" and the NFL did right by them and managed to make sure they got a team to continue using that name. The NFL, in a flagrant display of disrespect for Baltimore fans, permitted the Colts name to leave Baltimore instead of demanding that Irsay leave the name behind and start anew. In a perfect world........Baltimore would still have the Colts. Some might say "get over it!" We have......but there will aways be a sour taste in our mouths because of the lack of desire, by the powers that be, to make things right for the fans.

I have spoken with people from Indiana. The majority of those I have spoken with, would have no problem having their own name for an NFL team and giving the Colts name back to Baltimore. As for Baltimore...........if the name was returned to us.......we would keep it where it belongs........in history......and a damn good history at that. We have the Ravens now and Cleveland still has its Browns...........let's fix it the rest of the way.

As for tomorrow's football game......it should be a good one. It will most likely be a low scoring game and a close one at that......but I am going to go out on a limb here and tell you that since Baltimore bleeds purple now and the team is fully aware of the history in this city and that this particular game means far more to the fans than another step towards the Super Bowl.......I see a complete destruction of the Colts. The Purple Palace will be extra loud and that make it difficult for Manning to call his shots at the scrimmage line. Our defense will be bloodthirsty on behalf of the fans....so here you go........

A Small Group Of Followers

You have to be honored that you could be the top dog in your world. There is something that could be said about having followers that stick to you like glue and never argue with you. It makes you feel a bit special that you are on the receiving end of undeserved unconditional love. It is a wonderful thing to offer food and it never gets left uneaten. You gotta love it when they are always waiting.....right at the door....for your return. They never ask for much except food and a pat on the head or tummy. They even hop into the bed without coercion.

My followers always look up to me. They know who the boss is.

Meet my followers..........

This is Abigail. "Abby" is actually my grandkids' dog. She stays with me permanently because they asked.

And this is Chico..........my Mexican Space Heater.

I wouldn't know what I would do without Chico. He is not just a follower, but a buddy.

I often wonder what these two dogs would say if they could speak.

Ted Kennedy - Moron Of The Week

When I logged onto my computer, I was wondering who would be the Moron Of The Week. It is only Tuesday.......I know.......but the obvious moron reared his drunken, swollen head via a news report.

Yep.......none other than that fat slob, Senator Ted Kennedy D-Mass. As you may or may not know, President Bush is supposed to offer up an address to the nation tonight regarding the troop situation in Iraq. Predictably so, Tub Kennedy had to get some media attention to his disdain for our troops by announcing that he has initiated legislation to prevent the President from increasing any money to support our troops. It is obvious to me that Ted Kanhedrink wants to control our country. The same fat drunk that couldn't get elected President when he tried. Ted...........Go away!

Yep.......the Moron Of The Week is Senator Ted Kennedy. What a fat slob! He should be ashamed of himself. Ask yourselves this one question..........."What exactly has Senator Ted Kennedy actually done for this country all the years he has been in office?" Maybe we should adopt his idea and apply it to his fat rump.........No more funding for drunken, fat, senatorial morons!

Andrea Bocelli & Zucchero - Miserere

Every once in a while you discover a song that is so well written and composed that you could swear you had heard it before. This is one of them.....for me. In case you wondered, the song is about the blues.....and this blues is shared by an opera singer and a blues singer. Fantastic!

One of my all-time favorite songs.

The Times Are Gettin' Weirder

I figure that something is going on that our governments are not wanting to tell us about......and it has probably been that way for a long time now. If they did tell us right up front, the masses of morons on our planet would go completely bonkers. I have never been much in the way of conspiracy theories, nor have I been one to expect the planet's demise in my lifetime. Lately, though, some things are happening that are very peculiar. My observations are as follows:

  • It is January in Baltimore. It is Winter and the tulips in my garden have popped up.
  • Trees have buds on them...........cherry blossoms are starting to bloom in D.C.
  • There have been more weeks in the past two months than the number of times I have had to wear a jacket or coat.
  • Flocks of birds are flitting around as if they are confused. It's like they have no idea whether or not to fly south or north.
  • For years and years, I could look out the back windows of my house and watch the sun rise over the rooftops of the homes the next street over. The past year or so, the sun no longer does that......it rises much farther to the left. For many years I could also watch the sun set by looking directly outside the front windows of my house. The sun's rays would beam right on into the house. Not any more........now I have to look up the street on the left side to see the sun set.
  • We had a bush in front of the house that would always be covered with bees for most of the warmer months. We decided to cut the bush down because, for some reason, the bees were replaced with flies. It was terrible because those flies would always manage to get into the house each time we opened the door.
  • Every day at 6 p.m., it feels like it is 9 p.m. I am not the only person that has noticed this.
  • The weather has been spring-like and the forecast for Baltimore on Saturday is Sunny and 77 degrees!
  • I knew that something was up when it was reported that Central Florida had a snow flurry.......and that was before anyplace else in the USA saw snow.
  • NASA, after years of abandoning all notions of any further visits to the Moon, suddenly, out of the blue.....announces that they are planning a physical presence on the Moon. Very Interesting!

I do not know what is going on.......but something is up....and it's gettin' downright weirder and weirder. I am beginning to wonder if maybe the earth's axis has shifted a bit and they ain't telling us about it.

Pat Robertson - Moron Of The Week

No sooner we start off a New Year, some moron has to rear his ugly head to get some media attention so that other morons can get all excited about his "message from God". I cannot understand how anyone keeps sending this idiot money to support his shenanigans. Remember?.......it was that same Pat Robertson that tried to tell the world that God told him that the Atlantic Coast of the USA would be hit by a tsunami in 2006. Apparently God had a bad day....because it never happened. I knew all along Robertson was bogus. God never spoke to him........and I know this because of one simple fact........Robertson never hauled his butt out of Virginia Beach. If God had told me the east coast was about to be hit with a tsunami.....and if I lived near the beach.....I would relocate immediately........I figure that God wouldn't be joking about it. Robertson needs to take some time and rethink about what exactly it is that keeps giving him bad info. There is no biblical documentation that shows any inclination that God is a habitual liar and that when he speaks to people he tends to get his details messed up.

That's right Pat.........you might wanna stop that ridicuous squinting and take a peek at your hand once in a while. Whatever has been "communicating" with you couldn't even get a job at a race track selling brochures of "guaranteed picks". Furthermore........if it hurts so much to pray that your face shows extreme pain.....you might just be praying to something you ought not pray to. Personally, I find prayer to be painless and easy.........but I suppose if I thought that maybe a million or two morons would send me a few bucks because they might believe that I was some sort of "channel" of communication with God, I could force myself to squint rather often.

If ole Pat keeps this up, I might have to give him the Moron Of The Year Award. In the meantime, he gets the Moron Of The Week Award.

Now picture this.........how will I give out a couple million Moron Of The Week Awards to the idiots that support Robertson and fall for his bogosity?

I could go on and on and point out how ridiculous Robertson's shenanigans are......but then again.....there will always be people that also believe that wrestling on TV is real.

'Til next time..........

A New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
2007
I hope that this year will be a great one for everybody.
We are off to a good start with God's artwork as seen in the photo above.
