The Big Game

There is no celebration in Baltimore tonight. The Ravens lost to the Colts 15 - 6. There were no touchdowns in this game.........all of the scoring came from field goals. That's pretty rare, but can be expected in a very defensive game.

Regarding my comments yesterday:

"As for tomorrow's football game......it should be a good one."
It surely was.

"It will most likely be a low scoring game and a close one at that"
Indeed, it was a low scoring game and a close one.

"......but I am going to go out on a limb here and tell you that since Baltimore bleeds purple now and the team is fully aware of the history in this city and that this particular game means far more to the fans than another step towards the Super Bowl.......I see a complete destruction of the Colts."
Sometimes when you go out on a limb, the limb breaks........hey......I am a Ravens fan....I gotta say stuff ike that!

"The Purple Palace will be extra loud and that make it difficult for Manning to call his shots at the scrimmage line."
Oh it was extra loud indeed.....and I am sure Manning had a tough time calling his shots. In fact, he didn't make very many of his usual shots to people such as Marvin Harrison.

Of course, I had predicted a final score of Ravens 30, Colts 20..........unfortunately that did not happen. the final score was 15-6 in favor of the Colts.

I am not ashamed to admit to defeat. We had a great season.......and we will be back at it again later this year.

As for the Colts..........Congratulations! You can keep the name another year......hehehe. Good luck with your next game............BUT wait just one minute!.........let's not forget the Unitas Curse!

One should always have an ace in the hole......hehehe.
