Strategics, Observations & Flagrant Nonsense

I pretty much stay tuned to the news. I would like to believe that I am on top of things. I also know that some of the stuff that is happening or reported, is complete and utter nonsense. There is an old saying...."You cannot bullshit a bullshitter." I have done my share of bullshitting over the years.......it's a bad habit but......if you want to be able to survive on this planet, it's practically a necessary evil. What IS necessary, is that each and every one of us needs to have the ability to recognize bullshit when we see or hear it.

Consider the following:

The President decides to send another 20,000 or so troops over to Iraq. Okay.........that sort of stuff is actually a normal kind of event when it comes to wars.....it should not come as any surprise or shock to your system. The problem is how it is reported. It has been repeatedly reported as being a "surge" in troops. A "surge"........as if that is to indicate some sort of negative turn of events. In actuality, it is nothing but what has otherwise been called "sending in some reinforcements". Think of it this way............in your own hometown criminal activity may be on the rise and everybody is thinking "we need more police" to try to put a lid on the problems. So what do the powers that be desperately want?.........more police on the streets! To each and every one of us, THAT makes sense. Likewise, if you are involved in a war of another kind, sometimes you need to send in some reinforcements. NOBODY ever reports that there has been a "surge" of police in our cities.

Also, the naysayers and ultra-liberals that have opposed the nation's efforts in the war on terror, would have you believe that it makes no sense that we have troops in Iraq. They fail to see the obvious strategy involved. They would have you believe that the only reason we went into Iraq was for oil. Remember that one? When that wasn't good enough...they suggested that we went there because of "weapons of mass destruction". Oh I love that one. Now, they whine that there never was any weapons of mass destruction and it was all a scam. Furthermore, they suggest that we had forgotten about the "real" culprit of 9-11, Osama Bin Laden. That's a real winner of a bunch of nonsense right there! Each and every one of us knows another old saying......"Never show your cards", yet there are people that believe our government, in particular, our President, should be showing all of his cards to everyone...including our enemies! This is where I really get irritated. Obviously, there are people out there that would like to believe that the majority of people in the United States are stupid boneheads that couldn't figure their way out of a paper bag. On some days, I might even agree with that thought myself....hehehe......BUT I happen to believe that there are far more bullshitters than there are complete idiots........and, as I stated earlier.......you cannot bullshit a bullshitter.

Nobody in their right mind enjoys the idea of war where anyone gets killed. Unfortunately, death goes hand in hand with war. It is expected. It is unreasonable to expect little or no casualties. People are outraged at every report of the death of a soldier, yet hardly anyone gives a shit that their friends and neighbors are getting killed left and right in our cities and towns on a daily basis. I have heard more about the number of deaths in Iraq than I have about the number of murders in the United States. No outrage. No marches on Washington. No speeches given by fat Senatorial morons. Nothing!

I could rant on and on about this whole issue, but I will not. What I will do is point out the obvious. What is obvious to me also makes sense to me. What is obvious....has never been reported. What makes sense has never been reported. If you are reading this.........you can never say you had never been told the real deal.

The real deal regarding the Iraq situation is this................strategics. Remember when after 9-11, the President told each and every one of us that this "war" would be "bigger" and "longer" than anyone thinks? He wasn't fibbing about that and he has been true to his word in this regard. This "war", he said, was a "war on terror". He never said it was just a war with Iraq. He also said that we had to take it to the terrorists and anyone that supported the terrorists.......on their own ground. Remember that? He said we needed to be on the offensive and not just on the defensive. That makes alot of sense to me. Even a fat idiot couch potato that loves football, would know that his favorite team has no chance of success with only a defense. You gotta have some offense. Okay........having said that......where does that all fit in? What is it that has not been reported?

It makes sense that we have a presence in Iraq. Because of our efforts in Iraq, we now have forces strategically placed in between Syria and Iran. Because of our presence in Afghanistan, we also now have Iran surrounded. You would have to be a moron to not see that we strategically are placed in areas we need to be placed if you are going to participate in a war on terror. You gotta know that the radical Islamists are not real happy about this situation. It has nothing to do with Saddam Hussein. Nothing.

Consider the following.........

Afghanistan is no stranger to war...........how quickly we all forget how long the USSR fought against them and could not come away victorious. We went in there and whooped ass. We did what we needed to do....nothing more and nothing less........and we did it rather quickly.

Iran fought for years and years with Iraq....neither side was able to overcome the other. We invaded Iraq and they ran like chickens. It was quick work, we overtook that regime in record time, with minimal casualties. You can imagine what was going through the minds of the wackos in Iran when they saw that. We have Iran surrounded now.

Syria has it's day coming. They have no protection on their west coast and we have a mighty navy. We are now based to their east and have Israel on their south. You gotta know that they know that they are gonna have to kick up the diplomacy at this point.

So there you have it............strategics. In a war as huge as the President indicated right from the start.........you would have to be a complete moron to think this was some small squabble and that our troops would be removed from that area of the world.

The big question is........why has the reporting been the way it has?

And the answer is.........."never show your cards".
