Snowmageddon.........Again!

Here we go again.................................as soon as we almost get completely dug out of the snow........at least in my neighborhood..............insult gets added to injury and we get dumped on again. If you have been reading this blog, you have seen the pictures of Snowmageddon.........the first round. Today, you will see the start of the second round.

It was like watching a tv in the 1960s..........no cable and lousy reception.............and all you can do is sit there and shake your head. We were only a few hours into this second round and already it looks like this.

Here is a shot without the flash.........I am disgusted at this point and head off to bed........fuggeddaboutit. Should I be shocked at what it will look like when I wake up?

Okay..........I woke up.........it is daylight..........and it is not good. Everything that everybody did to clear a way has been undone as if we never did anything.

The sad thing is it ain't over yet..........the blizzard aspect is just beginning to start........the wind has kicked up.

Our path is gone...........the cars are covered again.

If you are in Alaska or Canada or even Buffalo or Minnesota, you probably are laughing at us here in Baltimore...........but this is not a normal thing for us. You may enjoy this stuff but we don't.

As I write this Baltimore City has declared Stage Three emergency which means that nothing but emergency vehicles are permitted on the roads and streets. Other jurisdictions are following suit, one by one...........I-83 is closed.........and a fire station in Dundalk catches fire and their roof collapsed......go figure.........

Snow!
This is getting ridiculous.......................snowmageddon.............and then there is a news report that 63% of the United States has snow on the ground!...............and today Chicago has a 3.8 earthquake!.............what is next?...........LOCUSTS?

It will take some time to get rid of this.........

For now, we still have electricity........thankfully...................

.........all of the local tv stations have been non-stop reporting and aren't even bothering to show their regularly scheduled programs.

There is nothing like watching plows and reporters all day on tv.

There are some highways that look pretty good........for now. And on every station, at the bottom of the screen, there is a banner that informs us about everything that is closed or cancelled.............wouldn't it be better to tell us just what is actually open?

Classic Nor'easter.
Notice the red area...........that's the blizzard warning............

1:27 PM...............wind and snow = blizzard.

So they say that when it is all done we will have an additional 10-20 inches of snow..........and that don't even refllect how much of it that will drift into heaps well over 4 foot.

It's Snowmageddon!

More to come.......it ain't over yet and it is only 3PM.................aarrgghhh!
