T-Bone Wolk

I woke up today and began my routine of checking the latest news online and was stunned to find out that T-Bone Wolk has died of a heart attack at the age 0f 58. Many people may not be aware of just who T-Bone Wolk was...........but there are also many people who are very aware. T-Bone had a huge career as a musician's musician and he performed on alot of music that most everybody has heard, at one time or another, in the past twenty years or so.

I first saw T-Bone on my television.........he was that bass player in the Saturday Night Live band........and he stood out.........I remember that he appeared a bit odd in my mind........something about the way he looked........awkward, yet always very INTO whatever music was being performed.

He also came to be a huge part of the Hall & Oates band and he had been involved with them since the Private Eyes album. T-Bone had the kind of look that I can only describe as being as if he was somehow one of the characters in that movie entitled Deliverance..........not the main characters, but one of those bizarre woodspeople.........as if he would have fit right in sitting on that porch playing a guitar........at least that is how I would describe how I saw him. But T-Bone, while not being very flashy in appearance, let his talent be his guide..........and, man, what a talent he had. He played just about everything.....guitar....bass.....accordion.......he sang harmony.......who knows what else.

Damn.........he was only 58.........Daryl Hall said that losing T-Bone is like losing his right hand.............and if you want to know what he meant by that, go visit the Live From Daryl's House website and watch the performances..............T-Bone is all over the place.

What a stunner.
