Snowmageddon - The Aftermath

The snow stopped and now the process of digging out of this unbelievable amount of snow has begun.............and it is gonna take a few days to do that.

There isn't alot of area to put the shoveled snow.........the sidewalk is one thing to deal with.......

..............getting the cars free from snowmageddon's grasp.......well, that's an entirely different story.

It is gonna be awhile before all of this melts...............this is not the norm for Baltimore in the winter.

Hmmmmm............that pile of white is my son's car. Notice that, because it was indeed a true blizzard, the snow drifted and filled the spaces in between each vehicle.

Fortunately, a plow managed to cut a path on the street...........and they worked at it the entire time during the snowstorm..............the problem was twofold...........not much they could do with so much snow, no place to put it...........and no sooner they cut a swath, it covered right back up as if they hadn't been there.

Here is another nice view of my son, Dash Riprock's car...........can't see it, can you?

Supernurse had just bought a new van the other day...............maybe she should have gotten a Humvee.................Dash Riprock, being the great son that he is, busted his butt shoveling around her van.

Did I mention that even though the road is "passable", it is icy?

I like the snow................but not this much.

It will take a while to get our white Grand Am outta there. This is the back view..........

............and this is the front view..............aaaarrggghhhhh!

We also have a gold Grand Am.............this is the side view.........

.........and this is the front view....................it's gonna take a while to get that one out too.

We got dumped on............big time.

At least Dash Riprock has made some headway and we can now see Supernurse's van...........of course......uhhhhh.......the space between the van and Dash's beemer is completely packed with snow.

Some neighbors haven't even begun to fight............my guess is they will all be out here before the Superbowl game starts today.

What a mess.......................I don't know what I would do without my righthand man, Dash Riprock............there is no way I could shovel this stuff...........did I mention that this ain't the fluffy, powdery snow?.............

...............no.........this snow is the heavy, wet, variety..............great for snowballs and snowmen, bad for extreme shoveling.

Not alot of room to work with........is it?

My neighbor got his car loose............but he ain't going anywhere just yet........hehehe.

As you can see, the wind was a factor during the storm...........

.....................and it is COLD!

Notice the cars across the street...............the plow made a nice path there........but......none of the cars have been dug out yet.....................yep......it is gonna be an interesting Superbowl Sunday.
