In my previous post I mentioned that pushing for the Fair Tax plan.......the one that Neal Boortz co-authored........is one of my New Years resolutions. No sooner had I written that and posted it on the blog, I checked my email and lo and behold there was the following letter in my inbox:
Dear XXXXX,
This winter has seen big early blizzards and ice storms in the mid- and northwest, low elevation snow packs in the western mountains, snow in Houston, and warmer, wetter weather than usual in Florida and parts of the Southeast. These severe and unusual weather patterns seem to mirror the fiscal storm that has swept across the entire nation.
The economy -- and the desperate need for real growth that will bring jobs once again to the most productive workers in the world -- should unite us no matter where we live. But as worried as we all are, the nation remains fractured over whether to spend even more money to dig out of this economic hole we’re in, or whether that spending makes the hole even deeper.
We FairTaxers know there is a better way -- a way back to health and an American economic boom that will last generations.
Once upon a time the idea of spending trillions of dollars was almost unthinkable. This year, we have seen our leaders throwing around hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars like it was monopoly money. It's not "play money."
Where is that money coming from?
It is both borrowed from foreign nations and private investors, and it is being printed hand-over-fist at the Federal Reserve. The loans from other nations and investors are being secured with promises of taxes on you, your children, their children, and their children. Our national debt now totals more than $500,000 per American household.
To make matters even worse, the Federal Reserve’s “printing press” dollars are now being used to buy US Treasury notes -- from ourselves!
It is a dangerous and unsustainable path that must change. We must change the direction our government has taken, or our best days as a nation are behind us.
A “Happy New Year” this year must mean a re-dedication to advancing the FairTax with even more intensity than ever before. Our nation needs the FairTax and our nation needs us. Our voices must be clear, determined, and persuasive so that millions of Americans join our essential cause.
We begin this new year with a call on Congress to hold hearings on the FairTax. We are “petitioning our government for a redress of grievances” -- one of the citizen tools bequeathed to us by our founding fathers.
If you have not already, please sign the petition to Charlie Rangel, Chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, right now.
Equally as important, ask your friends, colleagues, family and neighbors to join us in winning a hearing on the most important change in government public policy in a century.

Wish them a better coming year than the one we have just endured. Let them know that together we can create a new era of American growth that will last generations with the FairTax.

Let everyone you meet know about how the FairTax will pull trillions of dollars into the country -- not out of taxpayer pockets -- from offshore. That means more jobs, better jobs, better wages, and better benefits.
Let everyone you know understand that the FairTax also brings taxes and the cost of government into the light of day so that we can end irresponsible and destructive borrowing and spending in Washington.
Our best days can still be ahead of our nation -- if we act together now.

By sharing this letter here, it looks like I am off to a good start with my New Years resolutions.......but more importantly........I want US citizen that happens to read this to take note. Please do some research about the Fair Tax plan and perhaps you will understand why it is that I am all for it and why I firmly believe that you should be too. Once you realize that its time has come.....then I urge you to start talking about it to your friends and neighbors and take action yourselves. Otherwise..........this debt that continues to pile up upon our children and grandchildren will never go away.........ever.
Things are really getting out of hand. Now, more than ever, there are even more signs of the end being thrown our way. There is a terrible smell in the air and the stench is starting to permeate everything..........the same way that piss and vomit odors waft about through the streets of the French Quarter in New Orleans..............oh......and Fell's Point in Baltimore.
Not too long ago I had to deal with the IRS via some phone calls. For the most part, my experience was a fair one and everything was prompt and orderly. I remember thinking that it was supposed to be an utter nightmare.......a dread of biblical proportions...........but it was not. The people that I dealt with on the phone were very helpful, very friendly, and reasonable. That alone should send red flags up all over the country........hehehe.......right? Stuff like that should at the very least indicate that we may only have a few more years left on the planet. You have seen the assorted television commercials where some bonehead asks "Are you being hounded by the IRS?".....etc. ........etc. I personally see no need to use services such as those that claim to take on that "terrible ordeal" of dealing with the IRS on your behalf........even if that bonehead previously worked for the IRS. For some reason, there has been tons of propagandic nonsense spewed forth on various media outlets that seem to be designed to perpetrate fear on the general population. "They are coming after you!".............."Beware!"..............gee.....it is as if we are supposed to all cave in and need those meds that are advertised so that we can sleep occasionally. Somebody wants us all to be very afraid of things like the IRS..........there is nothing like a little pressure on the people to get them to conform. Personally, I believe that the IRS needs to be done away with completely. It is time for the Fair Tax, where everybody will not be subjected to any fear and simply pay taxes via one simple tax on purchases. No more dreadful filing or paperwork.......no more beaurocratic nonsense.......no more tricky shenanigans via exemptions or special deductions. The tax monster is so big that it is almost impossible for everyone to do their "patriotic duty" without getting something wrong. So anyway........each time that I had to call the IRS, I of course would be put on hold and have to wait while I listened to some music being pumped into the phone line. No big deal.......I like music...........BUT............something has to be said about the choice of music, particularly the choice of song being played as you wait. I don't know if it was intentional or not.........maybe it was.........maybe it was just one of those spooky coincidences that happen.........maybe a form of prophecy of things to come..................BUT......the song was the "Nutcracker Suite"!!!!!!!!!! Go Figure!Okay......so a fair amount of time has passed since those IRS calls and today I had to make a phone call to the Veterans Administration on behalf of my uncle. No problem, I don't mind waiting an unpredictable amount of time while on hold listening to music.............it ain't that close to Christmas so I am sure they won't be playing the Nutcracker Suite..........this time shouldn't be so bad. So I get on the phone and after pressing 1 for English.......hehehe......wait a second........"Press One For English" is English........right? If I only spoke Polish, how would I know what the heck I am supposed to do?..........oh well.........I get put on hold and lo and behold the music starts to play...............guess what song was being sent into my ear.................."Ball Of Confusion"................unbelievable! Anyway........I had to wait for about fifteen minutes and I finally spoke to a human being................for about two minutes..........that's all. Problem solved.
Okay then.......here's yet another example of a sign of the end........Recently, the State of Maryland passed a law which enabled local jurisdictions to implement the use of speed cameras. In the past two weeks, Baltimore County councilmorons got together and passed its own legislation authorizing the use of speed cameras in school zones. I recently blogged about this issue, so you can look back and see how I felt about it. Needless to say, the councilmorons didn't give one flip how the citizens felt about the issue and decided that this money grab was the way to go. That was bad enough........so now........because councilmorons have nothing better to do.............they are busy coming up with other ways to scam the people. As of October 1st, 2009.......a new law took effect here in Maryland which bans texting while driving. Wow.........I am supposed to feel safer now? Common sense ought to tell a person that one should not try to drive while texting. We all know how difficult it is to drive while shaving, eating lunch, spanking a kid, putting on makeup, picking noses, scratching genetalia, playing Sudoku, and having hip replacement surgery..............did we really need this new law regarding texting? Once again.......it is a money grab. Furthermore, it is like the seatbelt law.........except for one thing........how will a cop be able to know that you were texting and not using your cell phone's GPS software to guide you as you drive? See how bogus this stuff is? Once again.....it is a money grab.Now here is the kicker............it was recently decided that Baltimore City is going to recieve a crapload of stimulus funds from us taxpayers to purchase..............grab on to your laptop, folks................a BLACKBERRY for every police officer in Baltimore City! Imagine that..............go figure........scratch your heads...........see the sense in all of this crap............just think.......now every cop in Baltimore will be able to text and drive! Yep..........and they will be doing it at taxpayer expense! Would you pay $1500 per Blackberry?So how are things smelling for us now?
Well.....it smells like a big pile of fraud doesn't it?.........gee......look........what did we expect?........look who's at the top of the heap.
At some point in time certain people need to just go away. Apparently former US President, Jimmy Carter, just can't grasp the concept of retirement. What is worse is that Carter is probably motivated by the Nobel prize that he was awarded. Hmmmmm.........this is the very same Carter that failed miserably at a rescue attempt of hostages..........oh and let's not forget just who was holding those hostages..........Iran. Yeah, I suppose the Iranian regime just loves Carter. Oh........and let's not forget that it has been Jimmy Carter going around and pretending to be overseeing elections in countries such as Venezuela.............yep.......Venezuela. You gotta just know that ole Chavez appreciates Carter's inability to sniff out stink even when he has shit on his shoes.
So now, Jimmy Carter goes over to "negotiate" with well established terror groups such as Hamas in the Holy Land. Great going Jimmy........maybe the morons at the United Nations will ask you to go to the inner city of Baltimore and "negotiate" with some of the "fine" citizenry here who love it when politicians get all warm and fuzzy with the homegrown terrorists that have been raping, robbing, and murdering at such a rate that even Jimmy Carter himself could count on two hands how many people are still alive that actually voted for him as president years ago.
In case anyone has forgotten.....like Carter.......or cannot grasp U.S. policy...............it is that we are NOT supposed to negotiate with terrorists.........and that includes countries that support and defend terrorists. Plain and simple. Now having said that, I am wondering why Carter has not had his passport seized and charges of the highest order levied against him. If any one of us ordinary citizens did any of the stuff that Carter is getting away with, we would be tried and convicted of treason.........which I believe the penalty is death by hanging or firing squad.
Furthermore, it is a sure sign of the end of this world, when it appears that only a few people notice this kind of stuff.
Jimmy, it is time for you to go away.........I hear that they need peanut farmers in Gaza.
Need I say more?..........what could I possibly add to this?..............oh well..........I have to ask the question.............WHEN are Marylanders gonna stand up and tell the politicians "ENOUGH ALREADY!" and vote these morons out of office?
I ran across this picture on the internet..........and darned if he doesn't look awfully familiar. Yep............the Governor of Maryland, Martin O'Malley...........and to think he has everyone hoodwinked into thinking he is Irish........hehehe.
Speaking of Maryland and taxes................let's take control of things and get all politicians corrupt hands off of our money.........it is time that EVERYBODY demand the Fairtax. What a joke!.............remember when your social security number was an "account number"? Surely, some of you remember that it even said so on your card............but not any more. It also was not to be used for identification purposes........hehehe.......what a joke.
Okay..........so just the other day there were reports of strange objects in the skies over Arizona and Florida. Hmmmm.........as you well know, this is NOT the first time such things have happened. It is about time for people to stand up and demand "Enough Already!". Time to demand that our government be honest about the issue and acknowledge that there may well be powers greater than they are.
If anything......what with all of these mysterious objects in the sky. at least Calypso Louie Farrakhan has yet to see his mothership arrive........hehehe.
Supernurse and I have a song that we both have to admit is "our song". "Two Tickets To Paradise". Don't get me wrong..........it is a great song and even though it took over twenty-five years for us to actually go and see "paradise", whenever we hear that song......well......I am sure you understand.
Anyway, I heard the song again the other day and wondered about the dude that sang the song.......where has he been?........is he still at it?........what does he look like now after all these years?.........................and while I was watching television, I think I saw him!
