A Little Of Dis & A Little Of Dat

Here we go with some of my random thoughts...........

...........not that these thoughts have any worth........but sometimes a man has to wonder about stuff.

I remember seeing old films of people striking oil and the oil would be spewing all over the place and people were covered with it and it was a huge mess..............we were told that this was a good thing.............somebody struck it rich!.........remember the Beverly Hillbillies?........Ole Jed Clampett struck oil and moved to Bev-er-ly.........Hills that is.....swimming pools........movie stars!

Oil is supposedly scarce these days and we are said to be dependent on foreign oil. As you know by now, somebody hit the motherlode while drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of Louisiana...........hmmmm.....Clampett territory? Well.......You would think people would be all excited about it.......but no. Supposedly, we are still being led to believe that oil is scarce and that it is hard to find........huh?............if it is so scarce and such a limited supply in this part of the planet, then why are we hearing reports where each day the amount spewing out of the floor of the Gulf is increasing in huge numbers and I also hear reports that it appears that this "leak" could go on for months and months......even years and years! This doesn't all add up to me.

And where has Al Gore been during all of this?.........hehehehe......

Today, the boogeyman is BP..........but the real boogeyman sits in Washington DC. Those that made laws restricting all new oil drilling to be so far off the coast that disasters such as this are hard to remedy. The even bigger problem with the oil disaster is that hurricane season starts about now.......this is not a good thing. The Gulf gets its fair share of tropical storms and the problem with this is that you have to remember where these storms get their water from. My guess is that a hurricane might suck up that oily water and dump it from the coastline to miles and miles inland..............think its a mess now?.......we ain't seen nuthin' yet. Stay Tuned!

I am a Baltimore Orioles fan.........and the team absolutely sucks this year.............but I am still a fan............well........there is always hope for next year. It boggles my mind that hitting has been a problem for the past 12 years or so............and we have changed managers, players, stadium attendants, hot dog vendors, and Boog Powell's t-shirts two or three times a year.............but one thing remains constant in the dugout............Terry Crowley the Orioles hitting coach..........Crowley somehow has kept his job all of these years. I do not understand the logic in this.

Another thing I do not understand is..........

..........Former Orioles pitcher and now part of the MASN broadcast team. Notice how he always looks slanted. On camera, he always leans to the side as he speaks..........maybe it his hairstyle........the hair is to heavy on one side. I think it is also the cause for Palmer's continual flubbing and stuttering of players names. I have one other pet peeve regarding Jim Palmer.........he has an obvious and apparent crush on Derek Jeter. The Orioles could be playing against the San Francisco Giants and at least twice during the broadcast he will mention Derek Jeter who plays for the Yankees. I could understand referencing Jeter regarding statistics, but when the broadcast goes like this: "Wigginton got all of that one and as he heads towards second base, Jeter..................."...................Jeter?.........C'mon Jim..........this ain't New York and Jeter has nothing to do with this game. Maybe Palmer is just getting a bit senile.

In a few months, Obama's hair will look like Nelson Mandela's hair...........don't laugh, he no longer dyes it.........it is getting grayer and grayer.

Ever see this guy?.............it's Boston Red Sox first baseman Kevin Youkilis. He's the one whose batting stance looks like a Wii character in the batters box. Everytime I see Youkilis, whose real name, by the way, is Weiner..............that's right, he is a Jewish ballplayer.............everytime I see Youkilis, I am thinking........

Twins separated at birth?

What is it with politicians that they think that if they roll up their sleeves for an appearance in public and for a photo op, that you and I will think they are "working hard". I see this kind of stuff and it just assures me that the end of the world is upon us all. Furthermore, if you or I go to the coast or the beach on the Gulf Coast to get to the bottom of what is happening, we would not walk along that beach eating snowcones..........are you kidding me?.........do you see how hard they are "working"...........how do we know they are "working"?........the snowcones?........NO!.......it is the rolled up sleeves!.........It boggles my mind that would even wear a long sleeved shirt there. I have been to Louisiana at this time of year..........it ain't cold. You can't tell me they couldn't afford a short-sleeved shirt or two. How about a t-shirt and some cut-off jean shorts?

Back to the Orioles again............this is their catcher Matt Wieters............the alleged future superstar...........who can't seem to hit his way out of a paper bag. Think pop-outs and double plays. Whenever I see Wieters face on tv, I am reminded of this guy........

............that's right..........Joran van der Sloot........the soon to be deceased murderer.

Things are just terrible.........ain't it?

Maybe Wieters should grow a beard and start looking like Kevin Youkilis.

Al Gore Phone Home!

I don't believe it is possible to have been alive for the past few days and not have heard the news about recent events that were startling enough to have been an excerpt from the Book of Revelation. No..........the image of Signtopia did not hover in the sky frightening thousands of people and causing chaos.

Surely you must have seen reports about something else in the sky.............a bright light......a fireball.........something went over the horizon.............hmmmmm....it wasn't me........so what was it? From what I have read, no reports offer up any serious assessment or solid answers. Surely you know that we have some very high tech abilities to analyze, inspect, and watch over our skies. Radar, doppler, NORAD, the entire military, telescopes.....etc......etc......you get the picture, right?

But NO.......we ain't getting any picture. All we have is some film from a cop car camera and the like. Is it possible for something to zip across our airspace and no pilot sees it? Is it possible for NORAD not to have seen it and tracked it and know where it hits? Is it possible that absolutely no scientists or astronomers seen this coming? Is it possible that there may be something going on that "they" may not be telling us? I don't know about you, but to me this is HUGE.

Contrails........right? And those contrails are not from the large bright light. They are from something else.Look at the photo above............that's a huge bright light in the sky, yes..........and we don't know what it is...............but look at what else is in the picture. I see two streaks.......don't you? Okay.........if those are from jet airliners........then those pilots would have had quite a look at what went zipping past them at an extraordinary speed. If those contrails are from something military........a fighter jet or two.......then they know what it is. If those contrails are from shot at whatever caused the bright light we may never know. Either way it is a mystery and it boggles my mind that all we can come up with is some speculation about it. That alone, is scary. Norad can track Santa Claus but it missed something real......go figure.............we all need to worry about this.

But here is something explainable..................biblical proportions of ash spewing forth from a volcano in Iceland. Such proportions that flights had to be cancelled all over Europe.......and this is just from one measly volcano. Imagine the impact...........stuff like this is what caused mini ice-ages throughout the history of the planet...........and this isn't because of something humans do or might do and even continue to do. Stuff like this must make the Goracle toss and turn and night and slap Tipper with a stack of Parental Advisory stickers. So where is Al Gore while all of this is happening?

Al Gore (The Goracle) never seems to talk about this stuff.......and it is those things such as natural occurring volcanic activity and earthquakes that should be worried about. Does Al Gore take up the cause and plead for people to stop living on fault lines? Does he beg for us to not fly in planes because a meteor or some unknown object might hit us? No.......he doesn't.

As huge as the volcano eruption in Iceland is and the impact it will and does have on our planet............it is minor league. Even worse is the caldera that is brewing at Yellowstone. Surely you have heard about that.........right? If you haven't heard........just Google it and educate yourself................you will be amazed. The image shown above is a small indication of just how active the caldera has been. Each dark speck......and there are thousands of them.......are earthquakes. Shocking isn't it?

So where is the Goracle?............maybe Al Gore should phone home.

Another Piece Of My Mind

Here are a few odds and ends about some things that have been on my mind lately. I have also tossed in some observations that I have had that maybe you haven't had. So let's get started, shall we?

Some of you may know that there had been some talk about how our government might tax soft drinks. Another sin tax like the cigarette taxes. The spiel this time was that the consumption of soft drinks such as Coke and Pepsi contributes to obesity and thus costs us dearly in the form of higher health care costs. The specific problem was said to be diabetes and the culprit is sugar. Furthermore, they tossed in the word "children".........you know.......as in "childhood obesity" and "it's for the children". I followed the story for several months now wondering if in fact they would actually shove a new tax down our throats in the form of the Soda Tax. Not much had been mentioned in the media about it.........it kinda disappeared............nobody was saying how it was coming along..................until yesterday. Well...............not really yesterday. Yesterday, it was all over the news that drinking soft drinks "causes cancer of the pancreas". Huh?...........are you kidding me?..........I have been drinking sodas forever now and they are just now saying this?

I ain't buying it, folks. This is bullshit. Hmmmmmm..........something is odd about this "news" story..........so I did a little research. Why now?...........why are they spreading this "major discovery" now? I did a Google search for information about the proposed Soda Tax to see what was being said about it lately. I discovered that the Soda Tax was defeated in committee by lobbyists for the soft drink industry as well as other industries that are heavily related to the consumption and purchase of sodas. I think this is fantastic news..........the soda tax ain't got a chance...................right?

Wrong. When things do not go the politicians way, or when things aren't happening the way the politicians want it......well........they have to demonize things and toss in the word "children" and then proceed to incite the big scare tactic to lure common people into actually agreeing to be taxed to death. The group of thugs that were and are behind the proposed soda tax have been consorting and scheming and have now tossed the big fear tactic upon us.......thus the news story that soft drinks cause pancreatic cancer. I can see it coming now................they might even suggest that the consumption of Coke and Pepsi is the cause of excessive gas resulting in an inordinate amount of burping and flatulence, thus contributing to global warming.........you get the picture.

People better wake up and start taking action. Vote every one of these thug mobsters out of office. And don't try to tell me about some these so called "fresh faces" in politics being acceptable. Consider that now that Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon has now been replaced by Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, somebody "new" will have to fill the empty spot that Rawlings-Blake had. The "new" City Council President has been named and most people will be thinking at how he is a "fresh face" on the political scene in Baltimore...................believe it? Not me.

When asked about if she will be able to work with the new city council president, her replacement, Rawlings-Blake said that it should be no problem at all because they have been working together for over 14 years now.............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..................got that?...........14 years!..................new?...........fresh face?...............are you kidding me? All I can say is..............where and who are the people that live and work in Baltimore that are absolutely delighted about the past 14 years where Rawlings-Blake and her successor have been working together? The more things "CHANGE"...........remember, that was the Obama campaign mantra............the more things STAY THE SAME.


Here is a nice aerial photo of Maryland.............notice how white everything is?................it is called snow.............and there is alot of it..........and as I write this, there is yet another winter storm warning in effect and snow will begin falling again this afternoon............another 12 to 20 inches of snow is possible...........this ain't a good thing.................somebody ought to give Al Gore a shovel and send him to Baltimore...................this "global warming" crap is an insult to everyone because every person with at least a hint of common sense surely can see that Al Gore and people of his ilk are just capitalizing on a scare tactic that they have created..............the only thing that truly is scary is the fact that Al Gore was so very close to becoming President..........one can only imagine what things would have been like if he had been in control of this country. People should be sick and tired of being scammed by these blue-blooded millionaire politicians.

I saw Madonna on tv recently.........she was "performing" for the benefit of Haitian earthquake victims. To me, Madonna is simply an entertainer.......not an artist........not a musician........and certainly not all that much of an inspiration...........unless you aspire to be a media "ho". As I watched Madonna, I noticed how she has aged considerably and just how much she has begun to morph into yet another entertainer...........

.............yep..........that's right.............Judy Tenuta............at least Judy plays an accordion and doesn't pretend that she is important.......hehehe.

You may not know who this person is............his name is Reggie Nalder and he is an actor. He has been in some famous movies and television shows..........even Star Trek...........and I was under the impression that he had long since passed away after a very long career.

Back in the day.......when I worked at the old Vilma Theater as an usher, the movie "Mark Of The Devil" ran for about a month and every day I would see Reggie Nalder's face up on the big screen..................Back then, I never would have imagined that I would ever see anyone even closely resembling him..........if that would happen it surely would be one of the signs of the end of the world.....................

...........well.............guess what............it's the end of the world!

Damn if Nancy Pelosi doesn't look exactly like Reggie Nalder.

I may have mentioned this before, but U2 singer Bono looks just like Robin Williams.

The Baltimore Ravens did fairly well this past season. I noticed that the Ravens head coach, John Harbaugh looked awfully familiar to me..........I couldn't quite figure out who he looked like.......and then it hit me..............once again that old job as an usher in a movie theater gives me the answer................

Okay.......on a more serious note............remember how George Bush was criticized for his response when he was first informed of the 9-11 attack? He was at an elementary school.......remember? People criticized him for years and kept saying that he was a puppet and could only say what others told him to say. Unless he had a script, he had difficulty coming up with a response on the fly..............hmmmmmm.

Today we have Obama.............take a gander at the picture shown above. Obama was in an elementary school...........and he ain't speaking on the fly.............in fact he hardly ever speaks without his teleprompters...........imagine that..........he brought teleprompters to an elementary school!..................are you kidding me?..............let there be no doubt that Obama is controlled by something or someone in power over him. Let there be no doubt that Obama is a very scripted president. Let there be no doubt that Obama is a puppet...........where are those that criticized Bush?..............I can tell you where they are.........they are busy trying to distract you.......they are running interference...........they are busy whining and moaning at how Sarah Palin had some "cheat" notes scribbled on the palm of her hand when she addressed the recent tea party gathering in Nashville........................oh the shock.........oh the shame............how dare Palin do such a thing?

Let's see............Obama good........everybody else bad...............it's the end of the world.

Snowmageddon!

By the time this stops, Baltimore will have reached a new record for snowfall for a winter season.........also.......a new record for a single snowfall event.

They are calling this "Snowmageddon"..........and "Snowpocalypse".

Everything is pretty much at a standstill.

Do I need to explain just how much snow we have gotten already?...............

............SNOW!...............

..............and lots of it!

And it is still coming down..........

Al Gore should be arrested for fraud.

There is no global warming..................

It is gonna be a while for us to dig out........

............everywhere...........

It was a blizzard.........and still is as I write this.

The porch door opened easily because it is a slider..........

...........the dogs were ready to run on out the door but they were stunned when they saw this.

...................so we went to the front door...........

...........and could barely get it opened up enough to shovel anything.

Well over two feet of snow and more than that where it drifted. I won't be doing any shoveling............my son, Dash Riprock, has begun the huge task of cutting a path........it is gonna be awhile..........................it is still snowing...........................and another six inches is coming on Wednesday..........................SNOW!

To Fart Or Not To Fart

Let's say you just had a nice big dinner at Don Pablo's and had an extra side of refried beans.........the question is...........will you fart or will you hold it in? Stupid question.....right?

But imagine that the Al Gore global warming propagandists tell you that human farts are responsible for a hefty portion of that which causes polar ice caps to melt.........then what?

Ban the sales of beans? How about banning farting all together? I would be against that........I am one of those people that enjoy letting go a good healthy blast of flatulence every once in a while. Let those gases build up inside you and you will just be miserable all day. Besides.........a good and righteous fart also happens to be funny. If the sound doesn't make you smile.........the reactions of other people to the resulting stench is enough to make you laugh.


It would be hard to imagine a ban on farts........but I could see our politicians banning the consumption and usage of assorted foods........I really could see that........after all........our politicians have already banned or heavily taxed other things all under the guise of being for our health such as tobacco, liquor, and the banning of the use of trans fats in restaurants. We very well could see the day where there might at the very least, be a fine for farting in public places. Ahhhhh....just think.......it could create jobs...........fart assessors......hehehe.

If a ban on farts isn't ridiculous enough........they just might consider taking action on the worst of the worst..............exhaling. Seriously..........when you exhale, you are discharging carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide, as you must surely know by now, is a greenhouse gas..........and it just so happens to contribute to the alleged global warming in a major way. Each human being and animal are leaving huge carbon footprints and that means that it may not be too far into the future where some moron politicians get together and propose a tax on exhalation.........imagine that one. In the process, though, less carbon dioxide in the air would also mean that more plants and trees will die.......after all........plants and trees need carbon dioxide in order to live and grow. Without plants and trees, humans would die off and there is where the dilemma is. Less humans........less tax base. As I think about it, maybe the politicians will want to "compromise" and just go after the act of belching...........yeah.........that's the ticket.......er uh....tax.

I don't know about you folks.........but I am beginning to feel all warm and fuzzy about all of this.

No..........wait.............I just had to let one go, that's all.
